Just a reminder

Just a reminder that this week's class will be held this Wednesday, May 9th, instead of Friday at the Long Beach Hyatt, 200 South Pine Avenue. We will meet in the lobby at 11am, sharp, as we have to meet with management to sign a liability waiver. Our contact there is Mary Cray. We will have three hours there to work. We will then be free to photograph around the hotel, including the lobbies, the garden, the pool area, grounds, the entryway, etc. We can use tripods, but we must be careful not to use them in crowded areas. Unfortunately, the upstairs restaurant area has been reserved and we can not go there. Also, we will not be able to photograph the Hyatt logo. I will be there to demo the shift lenses with the digital camera and what they do. The goal is to shoot some creative images of activities and architecture that tells a story of the hotel. This is one of the nicest and largest hotels in Long Beach and we want to show that in the images. The homework assignment for the last class, May 18th, will be to show 5-6 images from this shoot. Again I'd like to see a theme, not just a shot of flowers and the like. Treat it as though it was a commercial assignment, or as an art piece for the hotel.
