Important Updates
May 4th, Last Day With Susanne
Bring you best images from the three shoots with Susanne, (photo journalist, life style, and editorial) on a CD; you have to turn in a CD to get credit.
Class on May 11th has been rescheduled to Wednesday May 9th; we will be meeting at the Hyatt in downtown Long Beach at 11:30am to 3pm.
May 18th we will meeting in class for a pot luck and review of images taken at the Hyatt.

Assignment is due on April 27th
There is an assignment is due on April 27th. For those who went to the Salton Sea, please show five of your best from that outing. For those who did not, please show five local urban landscapes. A mix of day and night shots would be great.

Many of you have done some great work this semester. Please enter the photo contests. Four years ago, my assistant, Justin Renshaw, who was then an LBCC student won the grand prize--and some cash. Check out his winning image: http://www.lbcc.edu/PhotoFest/Contest.cfm
Please join us next week for our 5th annual PhotoFest@LBCC on Wednesday, April 25th and Thursday, April 26th. The festival, which features two days of free photography-related workshops, seminars and celebrations provides an opportunity for photographers to socialize and share their enthusiasm for photography. Our Thursday evening Keynote speaker this year will be renowned photographer, Harry Benson, who’s photographed everyone from the Beatles to Brad Pitt.
The main emphasis of the festival are the workshops, demonstrations and exhibitions which are free, open to all, and are suitable for all levels of expertise. To register for the events, please visit our website: http://www.lbcc.edu/photofest/

• Closing Photography Exhibition will be held at 635 Pine Avenue, Long Beach, in conjunction with the Historic Old Pine Avenue Business District Association.
