The Palm Spring Photo Festival begins on Sunday, March 31st and runs through Friday, April 6th. I will be in PS on Friday, March 31st and am available by cell phone. I hope you all are arranging carpooling, especially for the few students who do not have cars. The weather is supposed to be in the mid 80s, but the desert evenings can be cool, so bring warmer clothes, too. Sunscreen is recommended, too.
Our day at the Festival is Tuesday, April 3rd and the plan is to meet at the Starbucks at 101 S. Palm Canyon Drive at the corner of Tahquitz Canyon Way at 10am. I estimate that it will take about 2.5+ hours to drive from Long Beach. PLEASE BE ON TIME SO WE CAN GO IN AS A GROUP. To get an idea of what is in store, please view and download the Attendee Welcome Packet which highlights important information about the festival HERE.

When you drive to Palm Springs, take the Highway 111 exit off I-10, which turns into Palm Canyon Drive. The Starbucks is right in the middle of town. There should be plenty of street parking available.
The Festival headquarters is at the Hyatt Hotel, a half block from the Starbucks. If you are going to be late, please call or text my cell phone, 310-430-0552.
Don't forget your cameras and tripods (and charged batteries!), as we will be driving to the Salton Sea that afternoon to do some shooting. We will decide the locations based on what we all want to shoot. I will have scouted the locations beforehand.
Look forward to a great, exciting day!
